Nestled on the Pacific coast, Ibaraki prefecture boasts an impressive 60-km long coastline perfect for surfing fans. It has a variety of nature parks and one of Japan’s most popular gardens, Kairaku-en, known for its plum blossoms. As the home of Japan’s most famous robotics university, Tsukuba University, the prefecture is home to a diversity of high-tech R&D industry married with beautiful agricultural landscapes.
